Are tours available? Absolutely! Tours are available M-F from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Does KWI offer housing? While we do not have housing on-site or associated with the school, we have a large database of contacts with available rentals. There are also hotel/motel accommodations within 15 minutes from the campus.
How do I use FAFSA to cover tuition? We are currently in the process of application for Title IV funding.
How do students pay for tuition? Currently, students acquire personal loans from their bank or other eligible borrowers. Additionally, serious enrollees will seek out the many available private scholarships for career training.
How long is the course? Our most popular course is the Certified Pipe Welder, which is 6 months. It is a total of 960 clock hours. The Certified Structural Welder course is 4 months or a total or 640 clock hours. The shortest course is the Certified Fabricator Welder at 3 months or 480 hours
Do you offer courses for specific welding processes and/or upgrades? Certainly. Our custom welding course is for students that already possess some level of training and/or skill. The outline is designed specifically to the individual based upon their needs.
Can I transfer training I have already had? KWI does not give credit for previous experience, education or coursework.
Am I able to take classes while in High School? No. Our shift schedule is currently 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and only as full-time status. Students must be a minimum of 17 years of age at enrollment and 18 upon graduation for successful placement.
Is a diploma or GED required to enroll? No. Students must possess basic academic skill and work readiness.
