How to compare the best welding schools
The best choice is the school that publishes enough detail for you to compare the training, cost, testing, placement reporting, and support before you enroll.
Do not judge a welding school by a slogan or a list of processes alone. Start with measurable facts: training time, schedule, testing access, credentials, costs, documented job-placement rates, outcomes, and student support. Then ask whether those facts match the kind of welding work you want to pursue.

Read placement rates carefully
A useful placement claim names the program, the reporting period, and its limits. KWI’s published figure is 100% job placement for Certified Pipe Welder graduates in 2024 and 2025. It applies to that program/period and does not guarantee employment for any student. KWI’s ACCET accreditation includes independent review of institutional standards, including student outcomes and job-placement reporting.

Count the certifications, not just the processes
Many welding schools stop at OSHA 10 and one or two AWS certifications. KWI’s Certified Pipe Welder program includes 28+ certifications and credentials in the published program package — performance-based AWS qualifications across plate, pipe, and specialty alloys, plus the industry safety and access credentials employers ask for on day one.
